Mary Ann Doggett will be our Worship Leader this Sunday! Mary Ann always does an outstanding job in leading and picking out the songs for our time of worship. Be in prayer for her as she prepares for this Sunday. Also, you won’t want to miss this Sunday’s sermon in the “Pastor’s Fav 5” series. This Sunday PJ brings us his favorite sermon from 2009 which will be new to most of us. This is a message that was first preached in Student Ministry, so come ready to hear it for the first time! I’ll look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday.

Thanks for participating in such an awesome time of worship this past Sunday. I’m looking forward to coming together again for our time of worship at Oasis, and hope that you are as well. This week Bro. Todd will be sharing a message from the “Inside Oasis” series entitled “Be Real”. This is one of the core values of our church so come with an open heart to hear it again, or maybe for the first time.

I’m just now noticing that our music seems to be a Chris Tomlin marathon this week….with exception to the one Tim Hughes song. Our music this week focuses on the greatness of our God. We will be proclaiming how awesome our Lord is and be reminded of how grateful we should be that He wants to hear from us. Be sure to check all the songs out by clicking the titles in the list above.

Don't forget that this Sunday is our "Big Day in May". Church wide yardsale this weekend. Plate lunches & art sale on Sunday all to raise money for our mission team to Ghana. Come prepared to give toward this great mission opportunity. See you Sunday!

Sickness took me out last week, thus the reason we didn’t have a blog for Worship. I truly enjoyed singing praises with you last week. This week Bro. Todd re-visits one of his favorite sermons from 2009, “Rope A Dope”. This one could have surely one title of the year for 2009. Whether you heard it last year, or will be hearing it for the first time, you are in for a great message. Come ready to listen.

Our music this week guides our worship with the thought of God’s name. In our society God’s name is used in many irreverent ways. This week I really want us to focus on lifting the Name Above All Names up. We open with “Hosanna” which was what the people cried out as Jesus entered the City shortly before his crucifixion. “Blessed Be Your Name” points to the fact that His name is to be praised no matter what our situation or circumstance. The Lord gives and takes away, but Blessed be the name of the Lord. We finish with a song that became new to me all over again a couple of weeks ago entitled “Your Name”. There is strength and power in the name of our Lord, and that is what this song focuses on. Come this week ready to lift up the name of our Savior as we worship together. I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday.
